An automated notification for customers enrolled in Auto Pay when their credit card expires, with a link to the portal so they can update. This would help reduce declined transactions and make the Auto Pay function more effective and less time consuming on the studio end.
In the past, there was a report for expiring Auto Pay cards that we could run before processing Auto-Pay. Not the ideal solution because it added another step to the process, but at least it helped prevent the additional follow up caused by declined transactions. We can’t seem to find this report anymore; is it no longer available?
This is still an issue today 03/25/2024 as I sent this exact question in a few days ago and was directed to submit the idea to the portal (which is how I found this suggestion already existed). In moving toward a much higher percentage of accounts being on Autopay, a report and/or automated email would absolutely be helpful in reducing the number of processing failures.
Hi DSP Admin! Unfortunately this only works for new customers who signed up for Auto-Pay AFTER the new DSPMS was implemented. It does not work for existing Auto-Pay customers who were migrated to the new DSPMS.
Hi! With the new DSPMS, this is no longer necessary. Stripe saves the payment token, rather than the card number and expiration date. If a user's card expires and their bank issues a new one, Stripe will get the update and the card will continue to process.
