Since we can no longer charge processing fees on debit cards but are still being charged ourselves, there should be an option to disable debit card payments or not accept them at all. |

Disable debit cards or not allow debit cards to be added to autopay or when someone is making an online payment. |

Studio owners who will be charged this fee and lose money when a debit card is used. This would also save significant administrative time. |

If this isn’t implemented, we would need to reach out to every parent using a debit card to tell them they can’t use it. The issue is they can still add and use those cards since there’s no restriction in place, and once the payment goes through, we’re stuck with the fees. This feature would save us a lot of time and help protect studio owners from avoidable costs. |
Please make this change as soon as possible!
This needs to be implemented ASAP! The studio should have the option to select which online payment methods we do or do not want to accept. Period. This is industry standard. ESPECIALLY when DSP for some reason decided to include the verbiage "Surcharge fees do not apply to debit cards" so prominently when a customer is paying online. If I am a customer and see that message, of course I'm switching over to a debit card - and then the studio eats the entire cost of the fees. This isn't right.
I understand that this is not a SP rule but a new law. However, I am disappointed that SP did not have the option worked out before the May 1st changes. I hope this is in the works and is a high priority.
SP needs to either remove this non sense rules for fees or give us the business ower the option to have the old fees back to our account! Im looking into other software as we speak. THIS IS DUMB AND IS ONLY HURTING US OWNERS!
As a result of this change, I am considering a change to a different software program for my dance studio. I do not want to increase my fees to cover the additional costs incurred by lack of convenience fee added to debit card transactions.
Totally agree. I also need this, to definitely block anyone from using Debit Card as a way of payment. In my case, 1/3 of my clients are using debit, and most of them are also the same that every month the charge to their card cannot pass though, as they or don't have enough balance, or have the account blocked. At the end, these are clients costing us more with the new billing structure forced by DSP, and also costing us more, as I have to pay an employee to every month spend time and effort calling and doing collections.

PLEASE implement this! There is NO GOOD solution to the May 1st change without this option. Raising prices in general is unfair and now my pricing isn't competitive. My clients appreciate being able to write a check and avoid fees and they should have that option. A flat fee doesn't make sense (a $65 sweatshirt vs a $800 tuition charge) and obviously I don't want to pay a fee every time someone uses a DEBIT card ~ large transactions are going to generate large fees and will add up FAST
PLEASE DO THIS! The Admin time and upkeep this will take on our end to enforce will be overwhelming, and if parents don't read information and policies and still use a debit card, small businesses are then stuck with the fees!
