We would need a date selection where we can enroll someone both in the future AND in the past instead of the current day.
What specific challenge or problem does this idea solve? |
If we can only enroll people at the current time, our staff has a daily deadline where we have to enroll someone. If we miss it by either being sick, having other work, forgetting, or any other reason, we will not have another chance. Having to enroll people the day-of puts our entire staff on a daily deadline which is not realistic. By enrolling in the past, we can enroll someone who we didn't enroll in time and automatically add a charge for the previous date they should have been enrolled on. By enrolling someone in the future, we can make sure we do not overfill the class prior to them starting with them signing up on a first-come first-serve basis. We can also complete a registration ahead of time instead of waiting the day of their class. We can also sign someone up on the day of their trial class without charging them for the same day of their trial class that they have already paid for. |
How should this work? |
When we enroll someone, we should be able to select a date that show PAST and FUTURE dates. FUTURE: If someone signs up the day of their trial class that they have already paid for, we would want to start them for the following week (or after). Tuition should be pro-rated at the same date of their start date. In other words, if it is the beginning of July, and they sign up in the final week of July, then they should only be charged for the final week of July. PAST: If we were supposed to enroll someone and didn't get to it in time the day-of (or something else happened like they showed up and we missed them), then we would need to start them in a past date. Having to enroll people the day-of puts our entire staff on a daily deadline which is not realistic. Tuition should appear retroactively. In other words, if it is currently the 3rd week of July, and someone was supposed to be signed up for the 2nd week of July, they should be charged starting at the 2nd week of July. SEPARATE "ENROLL" and "STARTING CHARGE DATES": Though I do not know if this is necessary, this is what Studio Director does. If someone |
Who will benefit (Admins, Staff, Students)? |
Admins, Staff, and Students. If staff messes up, families may not be charged accordingly. So, staff would need to clarify their billing issues with families. |
How will this change impact your daily tasks or overall experience? |
I just signed up for Studio Pro. This is an absolute, basic must-have. Unfortunately, we will be canceling our account if this is not something that will be available in the next two months. |
