When a customer card is declined when running autopay a declined card fee should be applied.


What specific challenge or problem does this idea solve?

At this point in time we need to run reports and manually apply the declined card fee. This takes time and resources from our front desk/admin staff.

How should this work?

When a credit card is declined due to anything but being an expired card a fee of the studio's choice should be automatically applied to the family (not every student). This should only be applied when autopay is run. not when we manually run cards or select run cards from the trascrtion page.

Who will benefit (Admins, Staff, Students)?

Admins and front desk staff will save several hours a month of work. Even if the fee was applied automatically and we had to go remove fees for expired cards (tracking one's subscriptions is difficult so we would like to provide a grace for the expired cards but if that's a challenge we will take what we can get).

How will this change impact your daily tasks or overall experience?

We will be able to cut back on hours for support staff and make the office work more efficiently if we don't have to dedicate several hours each month to someone manually applying declined card fees to accounts.
