Disable automatic "we missed you" emails for students who have notified their absence in advance. This change would allow sending absence emails only to those who miss class without prior notice, making the communication more relevant and effective.
Yes, please fix this. We have responsible parents that inform us of absences but then we receive a bunch of annoyed emails when they receive the automated absence email asking if we are getting their messages/notes.
100% agree with this idea - just today I had a parent email us as she'd entered her child's absences but received the "we missed you" email. Even though we put an extra line in to say "please disregard if you've already entered an absence" it just looks silly that we've sent them this. Thank you
Do not send automatic absence email if parents notified in advance.

How can we prevent automatic emails that a student was absent when parents notified us in advance? Parents are calling in or emailing us but still receive an absent notification email. Is there a way to avoid this? Thank you!!

This would be amazing! Parents stop reading emails if they get too many. I'm afraid they will miss vital information.
Please please please fix this! It makes our parents feel like there's no point in presubmitting absences

This is absolutely a bug. Logged absences should turn off the email to parents whose child was absent.
