Your introduction of SPLIT PAY came at the time we were trying to figure out how to deal with a 2 family student where Mom wanted to pay for Ballet, Dad wanted to pay for Jazz, and then they agreed to split the fees in half. But these classes are different prices. To further complicate things, Mom had already made some cash payments in advance, but Dad had not, so the monthly payments for each parent needed to be different for each parent. We got excited regarding your split pay announcement, but then soon found it could not help us because you only allowed a 50% even amount split between each parent! Please allow us to type in the exact $ amount that each parent needs to pay in their own personal payment plan. If we accurately apply the tuition selection to each payment plan, then maybe you can offer a notice of checks and balance to show the amount of tuition still left over? Which is even more helpful after both payment plans are set-up to get that notice that 50cents is still owing/not covered by a payment plan, or if we have overpaid a dollar and change... which alerts us to check our math. But then still offer the radial-button option to use the 50% split option to do the math FOR us if that is the situtaion for that family. If you click that button, then the $ amount options would just become greyed out.
The current Split Pay feature only allows a 50% even split between parents, which doesn't accommodate complex family situations where parents need to pay different amounts for various classes or have made prior payments.
