Our parents and staff have a difficult time tracking split payments. What would be AMAZING would be if the payment would be listed and then if you clicked on it, it would expand to show what it paid for. The problem is that parents will call and say "I made an $800 payment on 11/9 and it's not showing up on our account" and we have to explain that it's showing across multiple lines in the ledger because we have to break it down to make sure that due dates are met and avoid late fees for things that have actually been paid for. It would be amazing to show this not only on our end but also in the parent portal as they view their account. I think it would solve A LOT of frustration on the parent's end.
My parents are upset about balances showing in their parent portal for things they do not owe yet. And many of my parents make lump sum payments as described above, then call and are angry that there transactions are not showing as paid. This is our second year and I already have parents not wanting to use the parent portal because it will not give them as accurate idea of what is owed and what they have paid.

I have not found a statement version that doesn't confuse our customers. They want to see how much they owe and how much they paid. Then if they don't understand the balance, they want breakdowns of what the chargers were, but breakdowns of how the payment was applied is seldom or more likely never needed for the customer. So itemizing charges and then just total amount paid each time a payment comes in, is really what we need desperately.
split payments are so hard to follow
This is also a big issue both with our staff and parents. How the payments are shown in the statement as split is confusing all around.
