What specific challenge or problem does this idea solve? |
Right now, private lessons in Studio Pro have to be booked with an end date. When that date arrives, the recurring lessons stop, and someone has to manually rebook every student to keep the schedule going. This makes it hard to track availability, because open slots can look empty when they’re really just waiting to be renewed. It also creates a risk that a student loses their regular time simply because a booking expired. |
How should this work? |
When booking a private lesson, there should be an option for “no end date” (or “repeat until canceled”). The lesson would keep recurring on its weekly schedule until an admin or staff member cancels it. Availability views would continue to show those time slots as taken, so what you see on the calendar matches what’s actually happening. |
Who will benefit (Admins, Staff, Students)? |
All three. Admins spend less time re-entering recurring bookings and get a more accurate picture of open availability. Staff (instructors) have a stable schedule they can rely on without gaps or surprise cancellations. Students and families keep their regular lesson time without interruption or the need to rebook. |
How will this change impact your daily tasks or overall experience? |
It would cut down on repetitive rebooking and the back-and-forth with families about expired lessons. Availability tracking would be more reliable, making it faster to place new students in open slots. Overall, it would save time, reduce errors, and make scheduling smoother for everyone involved. |
