What specific challenge or problem does this idea solve? |
My families are increasingly negative about public photo sharing. They are MUCH more likely to agree to sharing if it's a group photo, or if they select their comfort level (ie group photo OK, silhouette OK, etc). |
How should this work? |
I think that instead of a simple photo opt-out, which is buried in the portal and requires guidance to navigate to it, but then results in parents upset because they missed it, that Photo Opt-Out should be replaced by a section like Photo Sharing Options: where parents can select things like "Group Photo OK", "Silhouette OK", "I am comfortable with photos being shared", "I am comfortable with photos being shared as long as I have the option to approve prior to sharing" etc. |
Who will benefit (Admins, Staff, Students)? |
Staff and marketing! And families, who will feel like the studio is respecting the rights of the families' and kids' privacy. |
How will this change impact your daily tasks or overall experience? |
It means we'll be able to more easily check to see whether we can share photos on a weekly basis which we need to do for marketing purposes -- without a million emails to parents. |
