What specific challenge or problem does this idea solve? |
Currently, if we edit the day of a class after it's begun (we create a class for each of our private lesson students...so around 600 classes yearly), a student's entire attendance history in that class is deleted. It is essential for us to maintain attendance records, ideally in one place. This would allow for a clean and clear record. |
How should this work? |
When we change the date of a class, all future scheduled class dates would reflect the new date change. But when we view the roll sheet, we would be able to see the attendance history of the previously scheduled dates of that class. |
Who will benefit (Admins, Staff, Students)? |
Everyone would. Currently we either have to create a new class, which is messy in the system and can be confusing for teachers and parents, or we have to edit tons of extra-class dates and no-class dates, which is a long and onerous task for our 10-month school year season. |
How will this change impact your daily tasks or overall experience? |
This would greatly cut down on admin time and reduce the risk of human error, since the current options are so manual. |
