What specific challenge or problem does this idea solve? |
Music class in Canada are tax exempt. Dance classes are not. Many of us offer both types of programming, but there is currently no way to make some classes collect GST and some tax exempt. |
How should this work? |
Just like Bill Seperately, there just needs to be a tick box on each Class settings page where you can click Tax Exempt and it ignores your Tax Settings and reflects no taxes collected on the Tax Report |
Who will benefit (Admins, Staff, Students)? |
Admin, Accountants and Owner and Students. We currently need to use a separate software for our music classes otherwise it's nearly impossible to parse out in the tax report how much of the Tax Collected Column is actually not tax collected. |
How will this change impact your daily tasks or overall experience? |
It would allow us to look at moving all our music classes into the SP system instead of using two separate systems. For all users, I would assume that anything that is not taxable would make all our book keepers, admin and accountants not have to work so hard on this part of the business and might even be able to reduce our back end staffing costs by the simple click of a tick box option for tax exempt on each class. |
