Eligible students for a class based on student group

What specific challenge or problem does this idea solve?

We group our students into sub groups, then try to assign the whole group to a class. We want to limit what parents can sign up for based on this class, similar to the eligible student feature, but we would have to do this for 15 groups and 15 kinds per group (lots of clicking).

How should this work?

add kids to a student group. assign student group as eligible.
