What specific challenge or problem does this idea solve? |
Unnecessary steps to go through all the classes and add them to eligible list |
How should this work? |
If a class is suggested to a student the system should automatically recognize that they are eligible |
Who will benefit (Admins, Staff, Students)? |
admin |
How will this change impact your daily tasks or overall experience? |
save admin 5 mins every time a student is added to the system. |
I agree with this and if I suggest a class, and the student doesn't meet the age requirement, that should also be automatically assigned as an exception for the class
adding identical lists manually twice is insane..
The expectations tab should also have a "copy from" the eligibility list. Although I struggle with why, if I make them eligible, why do I also need to put them in another list to ensure that the rules don't override their ability to pick the class? So the questions really become, if I suggest a class to a student & parent (which is the system email we can send out "suggestion email"), why then would I need to make them eligible, and if I make them eligible, why do they need to add them to excempt to ensure the class is available to them to pick online?
This would save a significant amount of time. Typically, between seasons, you send the suggested class email, then with online registration, you want them to be able to pick the class you suggested. If you run a studio where you want to make sure dancers are right for the classes, you don't restrict them only by their age. It makes sense, and coming from a database background fairly easy function to copy those that we took the time to suggest to be copied to the eligible list. Please consider adding this function.
