Show a lump sum payment made that gets applied to multiple items


What specific challenge or problem does this idea solve?

Helpful to know when someone makes a large payment and reviewing their payment history to see it listed by itself versus just broken down into the various items it's applied to. Ex: $1,000 payment that gets applied to 6 different entries due on a variety of dates. Can be very difficult to track back when trying to review an account later on.

How should this work?

Allow the lump sum payment to register as a line item of its own accord and then show the items its being applied to.

Who will benefit (Admins, Staff, Students)?

Staff and families will both benefit by seeing the statement showing when a payment was made when looking back on the account history

How will this change impact your daily tasks or overall experience?

For accounts that have debits over a long period of time (many months) and then make a payment, it's hard to keep everything "bundled" and keep track of what each payment covered.
