What specific challenge or problem does this idea solve? |
Help get a better idea of student retention/drop rates for classes. This will assist in better training staff with high drop rates and start to be able to track unenrolment trends for time of year, days of the week, certain teachers etc. With this info, users can then start making strategic decisions around their timetableling, staffing, training and marketing to help close these gaps. |
How should this work? |
When selecting drop a drop down menu pops up with options like "moving, class change, schedule issue, changing sport, billing" etc
I'd like to note here that I disagree with everyone saying that class swap should be noted separately so you don't count them as drops. It's important to consider them them the same as they often have the same reasons. (eg. If a student drops because they're no longer available on Tuesday, I should be able to look and see that they weren't offered the same class on the Wednesday. I can also then see if they swapped classes because they didn't like the teacher that's on the Tuesday, then I can see that the teacher on the Wednesday is either doing a better job and perhaps deserves recognition and then provide more training to the teacher losing students. |
Who will benefit (Admins, Staff, Students)? |
All of the above

How will this change impact your daily tasks or overall experience? |
Hugely. This is currently needing to be done in a manual spreadsheet every class drop or swap. This is a waste of my resources. |
