What specific challenge or problem does this idea solve? |
We need the option to mark an absence as excused or unexcused. This is only for our Dance Company who have attendance requirements. We would also love adding more options such as present, but observing. |
How should this work? |
I've seen a lot of great ideas about marking absences as excused or that they are present by observing. This is all important information that is not easily tracked with just the text box. Adding these options should also allow for better reporting. We need to be able to pull reports of how many days dancers in certain groups/classes have been absent. We would then also like to be able to apply make-ups towards these absences and highlight unexcused absences specifically. At the moment, the running list of absent classes, especially when someone is sick one day and misses multiple classes is difficult to monitor. |
Who will benefit (Admins, Staff, Students)? |
Everyone- with better monitoring we can enforce our policies and it will be easier to keep track of the dancers who are putting the effort into making up their classes. |
How will this change impact your daily tasks or overall experience? |
If we want to be able to enforce our policies we need better tracking and reporting options! |
