Notify Studio when a waiver is signed

What specific challenge or problem does this idea solve?

Right now, we have to manually check the waiver report to see if waivers have been signed. If we forget to check, or a student registers last minute, and comes to class before parents have signed, it leaves us as studios vulnerable if something would happen during class.

How should this work?

Multi-pronged approach:

  1. Class manager would mark dancers who haven't signed the waiver on the attendance pages. This would let the teacher know that student can't participate in class that day, and to follow the studio's procedure for when that happens.

  2. On the student screen or the parent screen in the studio account, have the option to check all parents that have ANY unsigned waivers so we can easily email them once a week until they have all signed.

  3. Give studios the ability to opt in to additional automatic notifications:

    1. Weekly email with a list of anyone who hasn't signed one or more waivers.

    2. Email notice when someone signs a waiver.

    3. Pop up when we login with a list of people who need to sign.

Who will benefit (Admins, Staff, Students)?

Everyone.

  • The studio and all employees benefit by knowing what the students are and are not allowed to do.

  • Parents benefit because our waivers generally include information on a variety of policies, so signing the waiver before their dancer attends class is the last step in making sure we are the right fit for them.

  • Students benefit because the studio knows exactly who still needs to be

How will this change impact your daily tasks or overall experience?

It will make it easier to keep track of who is actually eligible to take class, and who isn't, and keep dancers from falling through the cracks.
