Grade cut-off option (not only by age)

What specific challenge or problem does this idea solve?

We can't search by grade at this time only by age but kids have birthdays throughout the year so this gets complicated. For example, an 8 year old could be in 2nd grade or 3rd grade depending on the time of year so we can't just search by age.

How should this work?

It would be helpful to have a grade field when an account is created, which would automatically adjust each academic year.

Who will benefit (Admins, Staff, Students)?

Admins would benefit from being able to sort by grade, and it would help students/parents bc they would only get emails relevant to their child's grade.

How will this change impact your daily tasks or overall experience?

It would be a huge time-saver when we are looking to send a notice by grade. Right now we have to check each student to see when their birthday is to determine which grade they are in.
