Sales Tax option for Private Lesson bookings

What specific challenge or problem does this idea solve?

It would be great to have the option to add sales tax to a private lesson booking. Currently, we have to bake the sales tax into the private class price. BUT, then how do we track the sales tax we are charging? It makes the 'Debit with Sales Tax Added' report inaccurate. It also makes the revenue reporting inaccurate because the portion of revenue collected from private class sales includes the tax. We have to manually calculate the actuals and if that's the case, why is there reporting at all?

How should this work?

This should work exactly the same as how the system tracks sales tax charged on class tuition. When we are 'adding a service' in the Appointments & Private Lessons area, there should be a check box that says, charge sales tax on this service.

Who will benefit (Admins, Staff, Students)?

This would create more accurate reporting of sales tax and revenue, reduce redundant and time consuming admin tasks, and remove the inevitable human error.

How will this change impact your daily tasks or overall experience?

The fact that there is no option to add tax to this service has a huge impact on financial reports and adds extra admin time and steps to the day. It is actually very bad business practise to include tax on a charge. People want to see the tax being added and businesses want their clients to see their actual prices and the proper amount that is actually going to the government and not to my pocket.
