We have a small group of classes that we open up for registration after our main registration opens. These are our 'drop-in' classes and they are titled as such. We only offer them to students who are taking the unlimited option in the studio and the drop-in class maximum is based on how many have enrolled it the main class. (For those taking unlimited, we assign a skill of approved registration to the student and match that to those drop-in classes) This registration opens at a later date. It would be great to have an option to open classes on a specific date and time.
What specific challenge or problem does this idea solve? |

How should this work? |
When creating a class it normally allows you to change the date of the season (start/end date, etc.) in case it's different. Have an option to set a time/date option for when the class would open for registration that overrides the full season rules. |
Who will benefit (Admins, Staff, Students)? |
Admins and Students - admins because you can set the season and be done. The students because you can announce the time ahead of time and everyone gets a fair shot. Now it's whoever stays up until midnight...... |
How will this change impact your daily tasks or overall experience? |
This would allow us to set the season and assign the approved skill immediately upon registering. I currently have to wait until the night before - close to midnight - to assign the approved registration skills to the appropriate students. Students are actually waiting at midnight to get these spots! |
