Add a collection of charges that can ultimately be broken into a set number of instalments.

What specific challenge or problem does this idea solve?

This allows us to offer bundles. If I can charge a portion of tuition, a portion of a recital costume, and a portion of whatever other charge someone might want to bundle in (recital fees/recital tickets/comp fee...). Offering bundled fees has been an absolute Godsend! Nobody complains about recital costumes fee, media fees or otherwise because at the beginning of the year we give them one big number that gets equally divided into instalments. No surprised, no heavy charges on specific months. Parents love it!! Now, I just need it automated so that we don't have to set up 'fixed fees' because it defeats the purpose of having an automated system if I can't use it and instead have to pay staff to manually enter amounts etc.

So far, these fees can be added with the extra fees options per class ect which is great for some, but the fees are itemized separately on the statements. It has been really helpful that the parents only see one number.

It works so well to say that fees include: x,y,z,. They see the number, agree they are comfortable with the number and pay one number all year.

I understand that some people prefer to itemize. But a lot of us see the huge benefit to bundle. It would be great to have the option.

How should this work?

Have fields to indicate what charges get lumped together. These fields would be clearly marked in a section to state that 'fees added in this section will be combined and divided by remaining instalments or charges left in the season.

It would start off by having the studio set the payment plan or date range that monthly fees are process in order to establish the number of charges appropriate for when the dancer starts. This way the prorated tuition feature could still be used but the costume fee can still be charged in it's entirety and be divided up for example.
