Customized Class List for shorter listings on specific website pages

What specific challenge or problem does this idea solve?

We need to make it easier for parents to find class options instantly otherwise it's too easy to lose the online sale. Allowing customized class listings will reduce the extremely long list of classes that potential new customers have to wade through to find the ones that they want. Some parents don't know the terminology or even what to filter. And let's face it, parents don't go out of their way to read in detail to even realize there's a way to filter a the top of the class listings. It's unlikely that people will scroll all the way down to even notice that there are different categories.

Also, being able to sort the order of the categories would allow us to place priority categories first.

How should this work?

By using a customized link with code that would populate specific classes based on settings such as; age, genre, day of the week etc. would allow us to have specific lists that can be placed on our websites that will show a concise listing specifically for the needed content on that page. For example, I would love a listing of just ballet classes for my ballet page. Or a listing of just classes for ages 2-6 for my Pre-Dance page. Also, a listing of only Summer Camps for my summer camp page. This was one of the features that kept me with Jackrabbit for so long. They offer this. If it wasn't for that, I would have switched to DSP a lot sooner. If Jackrabbit wasn't so expensive I would have stayed for this feature alone. My website developer is hesitant to use the current DSP listing as he feels it deters people.

Who will benefit (Admins, Staff, Students)?

This will greatly benefit studios by streamlining the sales process and making it so much easier for potential student/parents to get interested in classes suitable for them. It will reduce emails for admins because people will be able to self navigate instead of emailing and asking for specific into. (if they even bother. Who knows how many people just abandon the website and find another business with easy to find clases)

How will this change impact your daily tasks or overall experience?

It will make it easier for parents to find classes to enrol in. Reduce questions and confusion that Admins have to take the time to reply to. Overall, it will allow people to self navigate and self enrol faster and easier. If it's too hard, they will just move on and current parents will simply email and say, enrol my child in ballet, tap and jazz - and now my admin team is doing the work enrolling them when, in this day and age, clients should be able to easily do this on their own.
