Excused vs Unexcused Absent Tracking or ability for parents to see comments

What specific challenge or problem does this idea solve?

Students allowed a certain number of excused absences per class. Ability to track to track this easier without having to review comments. Parents cannot see comments so they are unable to track on their end.

How should this work?

Class manager - Click Excused or unexcused based on the reason that can be seen in class manager from parents submitting??

How will this change impact your daily tasks or overall experience?

We have to monitor number of absences and difficult to have to look at each absence reason and keep track outside of system. A report that can be ran with a date range or season to view this for a student would be great.
