Having the only option for late fees to be a number of days after payment due rather than a specific date is confusing for parents. Because we collect tuition for the month on the 29th of the preceding month asking parents to track if they are late on the 7th, 5th, or 4th depending on the month is asking a lot of our already taxed parents (we extend empathy for our busy professionals, multi child families, life is tough and there's enough to track with soccer, work meetings, kids social engagements, competitions, I'm exhausted thinking about their lives! 🙃). Help us help them by allowing us to set a late fee on a specific date, the 7th for example as a hard and final date. |

It will be huge during AR auditing and help encouraging parents to pay on time. When the date is hard and set parents are more likely to pay attention and remember when to get payments in. The front desk has to manage payments for ~700 students/families. There are only four of us and chasing down payments can be daunting enough, telling a parent they missed the late fee deadline adds additional stress and anxiety for us. |
