Parents able to choose what they are paying for

I wish that parents could choose what charges they are paying for when they make a payment. We have charges up that aren't due yet and when parents make a payment they can't choose for that payment to go towards tuition. I get endless emails about late fees for parents that have actually paid their tuition but aren't able to designate it when they pay.
