Many have complained about adding assistants as staff (there is no way to separate them from other staff) and also allowing them to see their schedule, take attendance for them, etc. without having them be added to the class roster and affecting their class numbers and I think I have come up with a solution! I am currently utilizing the drop-in student feature for my assistants. I added them to the correct classes as drop-in students and will go in and schedule their drop-in classes so they show up on their parent portal calendar. It would be AMAZING if DSP could add this as an "Assistant" feature with just a couple tweaks to the current way the Drop-in feature works. It would be great if I could add a student and have them automatically be scheduled for all class dates instead of having to manually add each date. It would also be great if these students would show up on the main attendance screen in the teacher portal so teachers don't have to remember to go to a different screen to mark them as present.
Agreed - this is important for adding attendance!
