When I’m registering someone in Registration Manager, it doesn’t have an option to have them sign the waivers. This results in having no waiver signed for them. I try to be as paperless as possible, and even if I didn’t, it is too hard to keep files of paper waivers and virtual ones. I would very much appreciate the ability to have parents sign waivers if we’re processing the registration for them.
BUMPING THIS!! PLEEEAAASSSSEEEEEEE UPDATE THIS FEATURE!!!
We use jotform, which sends a link in their registration confirmation email. They are to fill out and sign these before class (all digital; we copy the PDF into their account file (we have them go to our Google Drive folder) and share it for their reference and ours, which can be done on a phone, tablet, or computer). Jotform can also be set up to send us an email/text notification when completed.
I'm sure many studios are setting themselves up for unforseen legal issues. This is a problem.
Couldn't agree more! Please make this change. xxx
I feel so stupid - I didn't realize this. You are so right. We use this all the time...which means we have tons of people who haven't signed the waivers. Oh no! Now I need to figure out how many I have in this situation and figure out how to get them signed.
YES! This is an important issue!
In complete agreement. This is an important issue that truly needs attention, and hopefully more people will chime in. I think perhaps some people are just not aware that when they use Registration Manager their waivers are not made available for signature and that a potential liability exists. We discovered this problem when we began using the software 5 years ago, and it still hasn't been addressed. We contacted support directly about this issue, and their response was that if we did not want to upload signed paper waivers we could, and should, instruct parents to go to the parent portal and electronically sign waivers after they were registered. Unfortunately, this has not been a satisfactory solution for us; in our experience it has proven very difficult, if not impossible, to get parents to sign waivers AFTER the fact. The time and effort spent emailing/following up with parents to sign waivers defeats the purpose of having automated software and continues to leave the studio at risk. For this reason, we avoid using Registration Manager as much as possible, but it really is unacceptable that we find it necessary to pass up using an otherwise very useful feature.
