The only option if you have a substitute for a class is to add them as a backup instructor. Having to switch that out every time someone subs is annoying and inconvenient but if you don't do it, the sub cannot take roll or log the class to get paid. If every teacher could see and take roll for every class, this problem would be solved.
I just suggested another option to make certain instructors able to take attendance for all classes. Our director and assistant director are frequently the subs or at least in studio when substitutes are here so that would really solve our problem without giving everyone unlimited access. Hope something is changed soon!
This is a huge problem as there are subs needed often and we have to find work-arounds so that they get paid.
