Parent portal shows "you owe" even if balance is owed in the future. My parents call angry they paid and still owe money. We would like to add each month with due date at beginning of year so parents can pay ahead if the wish. But that will show a huge "you owe" every time they open parent portal. Please help!
Please change this to "future balance" or have two balances "you owe" and "future balance" showing when they open parent portal so they know what is due now
This continues to be a big issue! Parent registering for Fall are feeling forced to pay their next year's costume rentals already when they arent due until much later but the cost is associated with their class and it automatically shows they owe!
In addition to what the parents think, I think it would be a great Idea to also have "due or past due" balances marked are RED, which is how it is now; but for future owing balances to be in a different color. As admin when I log in to check which students owe money each week, I often have to click on each student to make sure its not a future balance, which makes it confusing for my staff members to understand when they are not in charge of managing tuition.

Yes!!!! Charges for future dates shouldn't show it the red!!!! It causes stress!!! and doesn't show an accurate current balance.
Yes please! Parents want to see their ledger for the entire season. We tested entering charges for multiple months at a time for a particular group (of veteran moms) last season and haven't done so since because it caused them to be confused and upset.
Changing the terminology to "future balance" is one way to resolve this issue.
Currently, our office has to enter all types of charges monthly. It's extremely inefficient, in addition to causing more mistakes on our end because we have to remember to enter charges several months after amounts and due dates are decided.
I have parents who are not wanting to use the parent portal because of this issue. They do not want to see balances they do not owe yet and when they pull up on their phones that is all they see
