parents have their own login to the same child/student

It would be wonderful if parents/guardians could have their own login credentials linked to the same profile for their shared children. We have had so many parents create a whole new account for children that are already in the system, which makes it cumbersome to keep track of the student's class and payment history.

When I merge the student profiles and delete the duplicate, does that mean the one parent will no longer have that student in their parent portal? It's problematic.
