I do not know how any other studio does their accounting, but I cannot balance account ledgers and reconsile with bank accounts inside DSP, so they have to be done external. But cash and check, etc. payments do not deposit into DSP Merchant, and so all payment types are ledger transactions into different accounts! So I have to download Income Transaction report to track income ledgers, and then Payment Type report to track payment types to those transactions. But, there is no keyed column that links both, and both reports are significanly different layout! So I have to create a program to match them and log them into a transactions log. Its been a real headache! Requesting a report with both transaction type and payment type! See video posted (informational to explain my progress to my wife and assistant, but still shows the issue!)
