Simplify online registration - trial bookings

New parents often struggle when trying to book a trial for their child. It is quite a process for them to set up and account, add a student, register for a class (schedule a trial), agree to waivers and then make payment.

Often they tick the class and then are charged for the term. It would be helpful if the tick box said (enrol in class) so they would not tick it and just click 'schedule trial". I have instructions for them to do this but it doesn't always work, they tick the chosen class!

Then they pause as they do not want to enrol yet or pay term fees.

Please Please Please take a look at this DSP. I have requested this myself in the past and have searched for someone else requesting this today as it is driving me crazy. As simple as it may seem to all of us, it really does not seem to be simple for all our parents. I can't begin to tell you how many emails I get about this at the start of a new term and I struggle to find the time to deal with it. The parent ticks the class instead of selecting "schedule trial" then sends me an email to say they want a trial rather than paying for the full term. I then have to; login to the portal, find the parent, go to their portal, unselect the class they have selected to clear the balance showing and then email them to explain how to book the trial correctly. I have typed a message that appears at the top of my 'class register' page but it doesn't help. Please can you take a look at making the trial booking element of this page clearer. Argubly its the most important element as returning customers booking will pursevere and take the time to acheive what they need to do, but a new customer get's frustrated and that could be a lost customer. I get so many emails abot this but how many don't bother getting in touch and just move on to another dance school?

It looks like there are quite a few of us looking for this feature to be made clearer. I emailed DSP this morning and they said their development team monitor this portal so hopefully this will happen.

Totally agree! We ahave had to turn off auto pay set up at enrolment. We then manually do this for every new family when they fully enrol after their trial. We were losing too many potentional new trials because of this! I am now looing into simpler studio systems because of this.

I agree with this idea 100%. The other issue that can be addressed when cleaning this up pertains to normalizing and simplifying the difference between trials and drop-ins. If these two options were visible near or next to each other, with a brief explanation, it would eliminate a great many mistakes our prospective parents make.

We are struggling with this also. I can't tell you the number of parents that emails us saying that they went into the portal, ticked the class they want and it they think they are scheduling a trial (because there is a link that says SCHEDULE TRIAL) but they think they should tick the box, it obviously then wants to charge for the full session. We then have to manually go into their portal, untick the left hand box, click the schedule trial link and save that and email the parent back to tell them to log back in and pay! This has probable happened more than 50 time in the first week of the session!! We would love this to be more streamlined and easier to understand for the parents!

Oooh we struggle with this a lot! So often they haven't noticed the drop down box to schedule a trial date and we constantly have to go in and check for registrations that haven't been finalised as they've ticked the box then gone no further because they didn't want to pay registration just yet..
