DSP is fantastic with a vast functionality to suite most/all studio owners, however it still lacks comprehensive and consistant data reporting for studios to develop cross checks on how that functionality interacts with their specific needs.
Although there are 1000's of DSP reports, most are repeats of similar data and this still doesn’t cover the requirements as you have to merge multiple reports to get what you need.
The current reports are also inconsistent. Some downloaded reports have merged cells, some have the applicable data on different rows, some are .xls (2007) format, some are .xlsx some are CSV, some have first names and surnames combined into one cell other reports have the names separated. This makes it very difficult for users to build their own data captures systems to take advantage of DSPs full functionality.
It appears as though DSP in the past has lacked a strategy for reporting and built reports based on random user requests, and while that is great, it must be clear by now you will never be able to satisfy everyone. One example - Why have an active student list, one sorted by surname and one sorted by first name?
DSP please consolidate your reports, make them downloadable in a consistent format, allow a set of custom reports available or allow us access via an SQL or OBDC database.
