Today on the Student tab you can check multiple Students and post the same Fee to each. I would like to be able to also select multiple Students and post Payments to those selected. Let's say 20 people make a $20 payment for the same t-shirt each using the same payment type (Venmo) on the same day. It would be much more efficient to select those 20 students, select Post Payment to Checked and, enter the Payment. Whereas today we have to go to each Student and post each one's payment. If we can do this for Fees, we should be able to do the same for Payments. In some cases I don't even care to know if they paid via Zelle, Venmo, billpay, check or cash; I just need to post that a payment has been made for the line item across multiple students.
Payments...the suggestion is how to add payments to multiple students at the same time. Let's say we have 10 students that all paid $18 for a t-shirt via Venmo.
Yes, you can give them a "credit", but a "credit" isn't a "payment". And today when issuing a credit it doesn't allow you to select or input a payment method. Credits also deduct from your Revenue stream in reports, and that isn't the same as a Payment.
You can add payments/credits to a bunch of students at the same time, the same way you can add a charge to a bunch of students at once, using the Student Actions button, right below the Add Fee option, as long as the payments are all the same amount!
