Season discounts are unclear for clients in registration

Season discounts aren't explained on the checkout screen or in automatic emails. I want to have clients pay a 50% deposit for the new season but it doesn't say anywhere that this is a discount and the remaining is due at a later date. They just think they only have to pay the 50% rate and that's it.
